Jim Norton

James Joseph Norton, born on July 19, 1968, in Bayonne, New Jersey, is a prominent stand-up comedian, radio personality, actor, author, and podcast host. Known for his candid humor and unfiltered commentary, Norton has made significant contributions to the comedy landscape over his extensive career.

Norton began his stand-up career in 1990, performing in local clubs and honing his distinctive comedic voice. His early appearances on The Louie Show caught the attention of comedian Andrew Dice Clay, who selected Norton to open for him in 1997, providing a substantial boost to his career. In 2000, Norton made his debut on the popular radio show Opie and Anthony, becoming a full-time member in 2001. His role on the show expanded his national exposure and solidified his reputation in the comedy community.

Throughout his career, Norton has released several comedy albums and specials, including Yellow Discipline (2003), Trinkets I Own Made from Gorilla Hands (2005), Despicable (2011), and No Baby For You! (2012). His specials, such as Monster Rain (2007), Please Be Offended (2012), American Degenerate (2013), Contextually Inadequate (2015), and A Mouthful of Shame (2017), have been well-received, showcasing his sharp wit and fearless approach to comedy.

Since 2016, Norton has co-hosted the morning radio show Jim Norton & Sam Roberts on SiriusXM Radio, and the podcast UFC Unfiltered with Matt Serra. He also launched The Chip Chipperson Podcast in 2017, where he showcases his comedic versatility through various characters.

On a personal note, Norton has been open about his struggles with addiction, achieving sobriety at a young age. He is a longtime fan of rock bands like Ozzy Osbourne, Black Sabbath, and Kiss, maintaining close friendships with members of these groups. In October 2023, Norton announced his marriage to Nikki, a Norwegian transgender webcam model, reflecting his advocacy for transgender rights and his support for the LGBTQ+ community.
