Who is Dan Soder?

Dan Soder, born on June 24, 1983, in Hartford, Connecticut, is a New York City-based comedian, actor, and radio personality. He is best known for his role as Dudley "Mafee" Mafee on Showtime's series Billions and as the co-host of SiriusXM's The Bonfire alongside Big Jay Oakerson.

Raised in Aurora, Colorado, Dan faced personal tragedies during his high school years, losing his father to a prolonged illness and his sister in a car accident two years later. Despite these challenges, he pursued his passion for comedy, performing stand-up while attending the University of Arizona. After graduating, Dan moved to New York City in 2007 to immerse himself in the comedy scene, performing at various clubs and steadily building his reputation.

Dan's comedic talents led to appearances on platforms such as MTV2's Guy Code, Conan, Inside Amy Schumer, and @midnight. In 2016, he released his first hour-long stand-up special, Not Special, on Comedy Central. He also featured in Netflix's series The Standups. His HBO special, Son of a Gary, debuted on December 7, 2019.

In addition to his role on Billions, Dan continues to perform stand-up nationwide and remains a prominent figure in the comedy world, known for his sharp wit and relatable humor. Though he departed from SiriusXM's The Bonfire in February 2023, where he co-hosted alongside Big Jay Oakerson, he was succeeded by comedian Robert Kelly as co-host. Dan Soder is by far the funniest member of the Regz podcast.
